Our Dogs
We now live with five of our own dogs, they work and play alongside us in our day to day life, this page is dedicated to them.
Our Dogs
Briar
Briar was our first born and taught us more lessons than any other dog. We were lucky enough to share 14 amazing years with Briar, saying our final goodbyes in August 2022. He set the foundation for the other dogs we have in our family and has supported numerous Puppy clients as well as being a resilient stooge dogs in behaviour cases over his years. His legacy will forever live on in the work we do.
Sam
Sam was our first Many Tears rescue dog, he was reactive towards other dogs and oh boy did he have a high predatory drive, he was not without his challenges. These challenges helped us understand the impact of owning a reactive dog. Sadly in 2017, at the age of just 10, we got the devastating news he had terminal cancer. Sam may have had his quirks but he cemented our love for spaniels and the joy they bring.
Willow
The only lady of the household, Willow was Becs second agility dog after Briar, she is our little princess and although she is a complicated and sensitive soul she took Becs to Crufts in the novice agility cup and came runner up in 2017.
She is now retired from the sport but enjoys being a spaniel with her dad at every opportunity, while keeping those boys in check!
Percy
Percy is slightly different, this cavi/cocker/pug was born with us during an emergency foster, we raised him and his other 4 litter mates, with the assistance of his mum Figgy. All the puppies and mum eventually found their new lives, but Percy stayed and this little dog is our have ago hero! He will try anything and give 150%. He trains in gundogs, agility, scent work and tracking. His enthusiasm to learn is unstoppable and suffers from FOMO.
Teak
This boy is something else, part dog, seemingly part human. Teaks journey in life started with huge medical procedures, he had both his elbows operated on withing his first 8 months of life and spent a large part of his puppyhood and teens, confined to leash and pen rest.
In that time he learned so much that he has become a dog that will pick up on our language extremely fast.

Teak is my hunter, he has mountains of energy and speed, power and stamina, he likes to do man trailing and scent work and his nose never lies to him, his tracking and air scenting skills are something we often marvel over, in his HPR routes his HP are his real strength
He is a kind soul and although he is very different to Briar he is now taking up Briar's role.
Harry
Harry we adopted a little latter in his life, but still "pre-teen" This little English Springer Spaniel is as mad as a box of frogs! He is our red bull dog!

He is sensitive to unfamiliar dogs and social overcrowding, a little bit needy of resources, but this little dog was born to work, he can be a pet providing he has that working outlet as part of his day.
I've never had a dog that has so much natural potential in his retrieve, his only trouble is that he throws down 150% so his stamina isn't that great, but he's still a young dog with a lot to learn and to experience.
Harry successfully worked on his first shooting season at the end of 2022/23 experiencing regular wednesday outings as well as guesting on 2 very different shoots and even he even worked alongside Teak. His weakness is his confidence in water but that is changing as he grown up and gains more experience.
Jimmy
Jimmy is our 3rd Many Tears dog, our 4th rescue but our 1st collie!
Becs has admired the breed for many years and in July 2022, a chance meeting of this boy, meant she fell in love instantly and he joined our family.
We are still getting to know each other and building our relationship. Being very different to the other pups we have previously brought up, we are learning every day but most importantly we are having a great time and Jimmy is living his best life!
Jimmy has been progressing nicely with his agility foundations getting ready to compete when he is old enough, he also loves scent work and tracking and would make a really good retriever, showing that he is a very resilient learner who's happiest working alongside you
Ron
Ron stumbled into our lives after being handed in to a vets by a previous owner, then failing in his new home after that and finally coming to us as an emergency foster, at which point we failed miserably and after 2 days with us a decision was made to let him stay and not put this lad through anymore upheaval at his young age of 5 months.
His journey thus far has only really just begun, but he struggles with separation issues, and is attached to his dad (Oliver), he pulls extremely hard on a leash and struggles with arousal, but he has an awesome little nose on him and he loves to be able to use it, Harry has taken him under his wing, so we will see where he goes next and now we have two English Springer Spaniels!!
